2014 Quills: Best Use of Digital or Social Media


Tom McKendrick, Felicity Lewis, Mark Stehle, Bridie Smith, Nathanael Scott and Joe Benke of theage.com.au have won the 2014 Quill for Best Use of Digital or Social Media for ‘And then there were none’, a multimedia piece on threatened and extinct Australian species.

Judges’ comment

Immersive long form journalism with excellent use of fact bars, interactive imagery, video interviews, music and photography. The package was enhanced by meticulous attention to detail and stunning design.
