Senior Age journalist Adele Ferguson has continued her spectacular award-winning streak by being named the NSW Journalist of the Year.

The award – for her work exposing wage fraud at 7-Eleven stores and unscrupulous tactics at CommInsure – was announced at the annual Kennedy Awards dinner in Sydney on Friday 12 August.

Adele, and colleagues from ABC Four Corners, also won the Kennedy awards for Outstanding Investigative Reporting and Outstanding Finance Reporting.

Earlier this year, Adele was named Graham Perkin Australian Journalist of the Year and won the Melbourne Press Club’s Gold Quill – the first journalist in 15 years to win both prestigious awards in the same year.

In 2014 she won a Gold Walkley, another Gold Quill and a Logie for her ground-breaking investigative journalism.

Adele is a member of the Melbourne Press Club Board and a board member of the Copyright Agency Limited.
