Donations

For half a century, the Melbourne Press Club has supported and celebrated great journalism in Victoria and throughout Australia. More than ever, we are playing a vital role defending the importance of a free and diverse media to the health of our democracy.

Now we are seeking your help to maintain and expand our programs to enable quality journalism and develop the next generation of journalists. The Melbourne Press Club Public Fund has been approved to accept tax deductible donations of $2 and above.

Gifts to our Public Fund will be used to offer fellowships – such as our Michael Gordon Fellowships for social justice journalism – scholarships and grants. They will also contribute to programs for young journalists and journalism students with mentoring, skills development and awards.

A $50 donation helps a young journalist attend a Masterclass learning event. $100 helps a journalist attend a Media Lunch. $250 will help a student journalist attend the Quill Awards Dinner. $500 contributes to a Gordon Fellowship for a social justice research project.
