Terms and conditions

Event cancellations/refunds
Bookings for Melbourne Press Club events can be cancelled and refunded up to 48 hours prior to an event. We regret that we are unable to refund cancellations within 48 hours of the event being held due to venue and catering costs already incurred.

Currency
All transactions are in Australian dollars ($AUD).

Credit card security
MPC does not store credit card information. All event payments are handled through the platform Eventbrite. All membership transactions and Quills entry payments are handled through the Braintree payment system.


Privacy

The Melbourne Press Club respects the privacy of its members and does not share personal data with any third parties. We do not retain any personal financial data or credit card details.

This Conduct & Ethics Policy was adopted unanimously in May 2019.

Board Nominations

All financial members are entitled to nominate for board membership. Nomination forms are posted to members two weeks prior to the Annual General Meeting.

Nominees are required to lodge a brief resume summarising their qualifications and work experience – and a short statement outlining the contribution they propose to make to the work of the Club.

These details will be circulated to club members in the event of a contested election.

Membership is $100 for journalists, $150 for associate members and $40 for students.
